Sign Up for Classes

Visitors are always welcome! We encourage you to come watch a class prior to joining in. Watching a class is a requirement for prospective Aikido students (minors must have a parent or guardian watch a class too). Please contact us, or stop by during class time, for more detailed information based on your training interests. We’re happy to answer questions and introduce you to the teachers and other students.

Siskiyou Aikikai is committed to creating an environment of inclusivity and safety. Inclusivity means all races, cultures, religions, ages, body types and abilities, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome. Safety means a welcoming acceptance and respect that allows (and hopefully encourages) us to challenge, test, and expand our comfort zones, and ultimately grow as humans, through martial training.

To save time, you may fill out our on-line registration form prior to coming to your first class. You will also be asked to sign a paper waiver of liability before beginning training.

We look forward to meeting you.

Membership Dues

Class attendance fees are paid by the month based on the number of weekly classes in which a student is enrolled. However, dues are not considered to be payment for specific classes attended, but rather a financial commitment to your membership in, and the continuing well-being of, the dojo community. Many, if not all, of the teachers are donating their time, energy, and expertise without payment, even paying membership dues themselves.

Your payment is due by the first of the month, and no later than the 5th of the month. If you cannot meet that timeline, please make other arrangements in advance. Your support should continue even if you are unable to practice for a period of time. For absences longer than a month, a leave of absence may be requested and dues adjusted. Thank you!

Pay your dues via your PayPal Account using the button below,
or bring Cash or Check (made out to S.C.A.I.) to the dojo.

Scholarships & Contributions

Siskiyou Cultural Arts Institute is dedicated to making training an invaluable experience to our members and a asset to our community as a whole. We think you’ll agree!

While the gifts that come from our practices transcend social and economic status, we also recognize that financial means vary from student to student. We are committed to providing access to anyone who will appreciate and gain from our classes. If you find that the listed fees structure is beyond your current ability to pay, please talk to us about scholarship or sliding-scale options.

Conversely, if you appreciate the value of the work we are all doing, and are in a financial position to contribute to expanding access to training for others with less financial means, please feel encouraged to donate a little extra. Your one-time or continuing donation to our tax-exempt charitable organization will help expand the dojo’s positive impact within our community.

Thank you!
